Background
I completed my undergraduate training at UCLA, as part of the Center for Behavior, Evolution & Culture and the departments of Anthropology and Psychology. After receiving my PhD in Anthropology from the ASU School of Human Evolution & Social Change, I moved to the Netherlands, where I worked as a postdoctoral researcher and lecturer at the Eindhoven University of Technology. I have since also worked a fellow at the University of Amsterdam Institute for Advanced Study, a consultant at the Centre for Unusual Collaborations, a data science consultant at IG&H, and as co-founder of Red Team Market — an organization facilitating independent criticism of scientific research.
My scientific work focused on metascience, research quality, and evolutionary social science. I have authored 20+ high-impact peer-reviewed publications in fields such as psychology, anthropology, evolutionary medicine, organizational behavior, open science and research methods, and in scientific journals including Nature Human Behaviour, Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, Perspectives on Psychological Science, and the Quarterly Review of Biology.
